Mother’s Day Sermon Notes
Date: 10 May 2026

Theme: God Sees You
Key Text: Genesis 16:13

Introduction
Motherhood is not limited to biology.

Women nurture, guide, mentor, and sow into lives in many ways – spiritually, emotionally, and practically.

On this Mother’s Day, we are reminded of one truth: God sees every woman.

1. God Sees Every Woman
God sees women in every season and circumstance:
• Single mothers
• Single women
• Divorced women
• Widows
• Women who feel unseen, rejected, or emotionally exhausted

Key Truth: No woman is forgotten by God. Every woman has value, dignity, and purpose in Him.

2. God Defines Us by His Purpose
Scripture: Psalm 56:8
God sees every tear, pain, and struggle.
Our identity is not defined by people’s opinions, past failures, or life situations, but by God’s purpose and grace.

Key Truth: God knows your story and still calls you His own.

3. A Woman’s Influence Goes Beyond Biological Motherhood
Women carry influence in many ways:
• Mentors
• Nurturers
• Spiritual mothers
• Caregivers
• Leaders and encouragers
Some women may carry wounds from rejection, abuse, disappointment, or emotional pain.

Key Truth: God does not condemn; He restores. Throughout Scripture, God used imperfect people for His glory.
4. Women Are Ambassadors of God
Women are called to represent God in every sphere of life:
• At home
• In business
• In creativity
• In the workplace
• In leadership

Calling: Be an ambassador of God wherever He has placed you.

Conclusion
Declaration: “I am a woman redeemed and restored by the mercy of God.”

Final Encouragement
God sees you.
God knows you.
God calls you according to His purpose.
His grace is available to every woman.
